Preschool Staff

Angela Dunkerton

(Lead Teacher) Angela will be serving as the lead teacher this year year in the afternoon 4-5 year old class. Angela and her husband Matt have 2 boys, Ben (19) and JT (10). Angela has experience working with children as a nurse for a pediatrician in a family practice clinic as well as teaching Sunday School, and volunteering in elementary schools. Angela is thankful for the opportunity to serve children at Orchard Hill Church Preschool again this year!

 

Christie Roberts

(Director & Lead Teacher) Christie has attended Orchard Hill Church with her family for 16 years. She and her husband live in Waterloo with their kids, Micah (5) and Hazel (3 months). Christie graduated from UNI in 2012 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has 5 years of experience teaching in the Early Childhood field. Along with directing, Christie will be teaching the Monday, Wednesday & Friday AM 4-5 year old class and one of the Tuesday and Thursday 3-4 year old classes. One of her greatest joys in teaching is sharing with her students how deep and unwavering their Father's love is for them.

Cindy Anderson

(Associate Teacher) Cindy will be serving as Christie's associate this year in the morning 4-5 year old class, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Cindy, her husband Rod and daughter Anna(14) have been attending Orchard Hill Church for 2 years. Cindy has experience working with children in a church setting and volunteering in church youth programs. Cindy is grateful God has given her the opportunity to serve at Orchard Hill Church Preschool this year!

 

Dena Blough

(Lead Teacher) Dena has been teaching preschool here at OHCP since 2009.  She has been a member of Orchard Hill Church for over 17 years.  Dena grew up in Cedar Falls and graduated from UNI.   She now lives in Dike with her husband, Brad.  They have 2 adult children; Lizzy, who attends Wartburg and Connor, who attends UNI. Dena is honored to teach at OHCP. Preschool is one of her favorite places to be and she loves working with preschoolers! Dena will serve as lead teacher in the 3-4 year old Monday and Wednesday class, as well as the lead teacher for one of the 3-4 year old classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
